Trump Gives Netanyahu Everything He Wants
(The Perimeter) Donald Trump, the eternal salesman and MAGA Mage, has once again pulled off a sleight-of-hand trick. With the flair of a seasoned magician, he dangles the shiny red herring of “Deep State” corruption by those dastardly Democrats in one hand—distracting everyone while he keeps his other hand firmly clenched around his true prize: high-rise condos sprouting from the re-developed sands of Gaza, soon to be renamed "Trumplandia."
Back in the good ol' U.S. of A., Trump's DOGE team, led by AOC's favorite "stupid" person, Elon Musk, is giving what appears to be a masterclass in government waste reduction. No one in their right mind is complaining about this—well, those with their left-behind mind of government grift are, but they don’t have a mandate from the American people, so too bad.
Unfortunately, at the same time, censorship of, let's say, tribal criticism is chipping away at the First Amendment, swept under the rug, hoping you know but do not notice. Like a bad reality show, you'll need to stay tuned to see if this season ends with a bang or a whimper into servitude.
However, when it comes to foreign policy, Trump's act is less like a magician and more like a wizard. He's making moves with Zelenskyy; if you want to keep the Ukraine war burning bright, you have to play ball with mineral rights—the art of the geopolitical deal. Then there's his plan to relocate Palestinians to Egypt, a move that's about as welcomed as a skunk at a garden party. Both sides are less than thrilled about this particular real estate shuffle.
So, basically, this deal would mean Israel gets to destroy Gaza and massacre/relocate its population, then shift all the cost and responsibility onto the U.S. taxpayer. That sounds like a terrible deal to me. Hold on, let me take some hopium; okay, perhaps Trump can see the giant spotlight and pivot from this geopolitical car crash.
