Got Covid? Smoke Some Weed: Study Claims Cannabis Compounds Prevent Covid Infection
(Chaz Anon) According to a scientific paper that went viral this week by a Oregon State University research team, two compounds found in hemp plants—cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) and cannabidiolic acid (CBDA)— could bind to to the coronavirus and possibly block a crucial stage in how it infects people. More specifically, acids that become active cannabinoids only after heat is applied—“prevented entry” of the novel coronavirus that causes Covid-19 into isolated human cells.
This could mean that certain cannabis-derived preparations, given in the right amount, might help people fight off Covid-19. Or it could be a bunch bullshit.
I don't know which strain is supposed to help stop COVID, so I'm just smoking as much weed as possible.
