The Democrats' Billionaire Puppetmaster
In 2016 a massive hack of socialist billionaire George Soros' Open Society Foundations revealed that his various nonprofit organizations are designed to be fronts for his many political activities. His financial support includes 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and current media darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
A group called DC Leaks was responsible for the hack, which included 2,576 files from various Soros groups between the years of 2008 to 2016. Their website explains that they were "launched by American hacktivists who respect and appreciate freedom of speech, human rights and government of the people."
What we learned from the details of the leak is how Soros non-profits work. In one of the memos from 2011, titled "Extreme Polarization and Breakdown in Civil Discourse," a nonprofit Soros group proposes conducting opposition research on a number of highly prominent American critics of radical Islam, including Pamela Geller, Frank Gaffney and Robert Spencer. It also targeted conservative activists and intellectuals David Horowitz, Daniel Pipes, Cliff May and former Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter, Liz Cheney. Each of them are strongly pro-Israel and have promoted the idea that radical Islam is a threat.
The memo suggests that the research was outsourced to the Center for American Progress (CAP), a leftist think tank that has "received millions of dollars in grants from Soros' groups," according to the Daily Caller's Chuck Ross.
Oh and by the way, this organization (CAP) also happens to have been founded by Pizzagate star John Podesta, Hillary' Clinton's campaign chief and alleged connoisseur of small children. He is one of many close ties between Soros and Clinton.
The Jerusalem Post has reported that some of the hacked emails show that the Soros Open Society Foundations' stated goal was "challenging Israel's racist and anti-democratic policies," in part by "questioning Israel's reputation as a democracy." Soros often spends money to delegitimize governments and others with whom he disagrees. He is not about debating, and is certainly not "open" to other ideas, as his groups' names suggest. It's political deception in service of a far-left agenda.
But Soros’ manipulation goes well beyond just Israel. In yet another revelation from the document dump, a memo called the "List of European Elections 2014 Projects" details the elaborate efforts of Soros' well-funded global network to manipulate election outcomes in Europe. The memo includes over 90 Soros projects in Europe to influence election outcomes.
In the United States his influence over Hillary Clinton was strong enough that he was able to dictate State Department policy in Albania. The Center for Responsive Politics says that Soros was the sixth largest giver in the 2016 United States elections, at over $12 million given to left-wing candidates. Fox News reports that Soros has given an estimated $9 million to Hillary-favoring super PACS in 2015 and 2016, more than anyone else.
Details emerged last year that George Soros helped prop-up democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s political career in an attempt to put 400 progressive Bernie Sanders-like politicians in Congress.
A former organizer for Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s surprise win in the democratic primary was certainly helped by far-left organizations linked George Soros — specifically, online media which played a crucial role in her campaign.
Operatives linked to Soros-funded Justice Democrats, specifically her chief of staff and former campaign manager Saikat Chakrabarti, found Ocasio-Cortez in a casting call like scenario, prompting her to run for office. He was able to guarantee she would get favorable coverage by their media networks which would reach almost 300 million people monthly. He is now accused of funneling over $1 million in political donations into two of his own private companies, according to a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission by the National Legal and Policy Center.
Another member of the Soros-funded Justice Democrats, Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, was one of the two political operatives responsible for persuading Ocasio-Cortez to run. Their goal is to get Sanders-like politicians elected to Congress. He was eventually forced out of her organization because of past sexist comments.
The Green New Deal, which has been credited by the mainstream media to Ocasio-Cortez along with three groups — the Sunrise Movement, Justice Democrats and a group calling itself New Consensus Each of these organizations have been funded and promoted by the Soros’ Open SocietyFoundation.
The New Yorker reported:
The document was written over a single December weekend by the staff of the freshman representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and three like-minded progressive groups, none of which existed two years ago: the Sunrise Movement, a grassroots climate organization; the Justice Democrats, which recruits and supports progressive candidates; and an upstart policy shop called the New Consensus.
Besides helping to write the deal, the Sunrise Movement has been the central progressive organization lobbying the Democratic Party to implement the Green New Deal.
Sunrise co-founder Varshini Prakash described his organization’s expansive goals for 2020: “We, along with our partners, are going to be attempting to build the largest youth political force this country has ever seen.”
Sunrise took the national spotlight last month when Ocasio-Cortez joined some two-hundred of the movement’s protesters to temporarily occupy Nancy Pelosi’s office to peddle the Green New Deal. Sunrise engaged in that direct action campaign alongside Justice Democrats and the Center for Popular Democracy.
CPD, which is advocating the Green New Deal, is heavily financed by billionaire George Soros. In October 2014, literature that was part of a CPD event listed Soros’s Open Society Foundations as one of CPD’s “three biggest funders.” The Foundations provided the CPD with $130,000 in 2014 and $1,164,500 in 2015, tax documents show. In 2016, Soros’s Open Society Policy Center provided $705,000 to the Center for Popular Democracy’s Action Fund.
CPD is highly involved in anti-Trump activism. In May 2017, CNN reported that the Center for Popular Democracy Action fund unveiled an “$80 million effort to coordinate the work of dozens of smaller progressive groups from around the country” as part of what the news network characterized as the anti-Trump “resistance” movement.
People’s Action, another Sunrise partner pushing the Green New Deal, is a merger of a group that previously went by the name of National People’s Action. National People’s Action was also funded by Soros to the tune of $1.2 million and reportedly helped to train protesters for the Occupy Movement, which was also close to Soros funding.
350.org, which is aiding Sunrise in pushing the Green New Deal, has disclosed a donation from the Tides Foundation. Tides, in turn, has been financed by Soros and has been a donor partner of Soros’s Open Society Foundations.
Also forming the backbone of advocacy for the Green New Deal are the Sierra Club and Greenpeace. Sierra has received funding from Soros’s Open Society Foundations. Greenpeace has been funded by the Soros-financed Tides Foundation. Tides also funds the Sierra Club.
As the evidence reveals, Soros financed fronts are plentiful and deceptive. Like a hedge funds relationship to the corporations it controls, these organizations are designed to mask where the true source of the funding comes from. That being said, if you follow the money in these organizations, it all leads back to puppet master George Soros.
